EVERYTHING IN THE HOME IS TOP OF THE LINE totally redecorated in late 2017 and with many upgrades installed in 2017/2018 including new hot tub, new double oven, new electronic equipment including theatre room projector, large flat screen televisions, DVD players, Blu-Ray players, new flooring & carpeting, and new AC units.  A new boat dock has been constructed in 2018 with a huge 16ft x 16ft deck overlooking the lake & a large adjacent fire pit.

This A/C home has 11 bedrooms & 4.5 bathrooms sleeping a maximum of 27. Most bedrooms have AM/FM alarm clocks, flat screen HD televisions with direct TV and DVD players, & all have ceiling fans.  The home features a huge fully equipped eat-in kitchen with granite countertops.  There is a separate superb formal dining room with a gas fireplace. The spacious luxurious living room with seating including recliners, has a wood burning fireplace, & a vaulted ceiling and surround-sound system hooked up to a large flat screen television with Blu-Ray player above the fireplace.  There are double patio doors from the living room accessing onto the spacious deck furnished with ample seating, a large hot tub, & with magnificent lake views.

There is a beautiful bar room with a superb bar, bar stools, & gas fireplace adjacent to the formal dining room on the main level.  The Master Bedroom has a gas fireplace. King-size bed, large flat screen wall-mounted television with Blu-Ray player, 2 walk-in closets, a large en-suite bathroom including a jetted tub, large shower and twin vanity units, & patio doors giving direct access onto the hot tub deck.  There are 3 covered patios with plenty of comfortable furniture including porch swings, deck rockers, & overhead fans. You can also access the hot tub deck through a patio door from the kitchen area, & the large laundry room is equipped with full-size washer and dryer.  Picnic tables with comfortable chairs are set up around a large outdoor fire pit area next to the boat dock. On the upper floor, there are 3 large bedrooms, two with King-size beds and one with a Queen-size bed, & each with walk-in closet & large wall mounted flat screen television.  On the upper floor, there is also a lovely suite including play areas, bathroom, walk-in closet, and 4 bedrooms, one furnished with a single bed, the second with two sets of double bunk beds, and the third & fourth each with bunk beds (single).  It also has a separate media area just for the kids!

The lower level includes 3 large bedrooms, two with a walk-in closet, & each with King-size bed and large flat screen televisions; a full bathroom; a large game room with pool table, shuffleboard, arcade machine box, & double patio doors onto the covered patio accessing into the gardens overlooking the lake; a top of the line theatre room with a giant screen, with an amazing surround sound system, lots of seating, & double patio doors onto the covered patio. An Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ & Smoker is provided for  outdoor dining & there are 3 garages plus ample parking space.

Surrounded by mountains & rolling hills, Douglas Lake, 43.1 miles long, covering 30,400 acres, a 555 miles shoreline & a maximum depth of 140 feet, was created in 1943 by the impounding of the French Broad River.  The Nolichucky and Pigeon Rivers are the main tributaries feeding the lake. The lake is extremely picturesque with numerous small inlet creeks,17 islands, 6 bridges, & is served by 10 marinas, 24 boat ramps, and 6 bridges.  Largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, & catfish are the most popular game fish for Douglas anglers.  Sauger, walleye, & white bass also provide excellent fishing opportunities when they make their late-winter spawning runs to the headwaters. National Fishing & Boating Week occur each year during early June.  The lake water level can fluctuate especially during the winter months due to HEP demand (highest in January) controlled by the Tennessee Valley Authority.
